What is the process of land preparation and planting for growing persimmons?
Before planting or sowing the seeds, land preparation is essential the weeds, stones, and all the old crop material should be removed from the main field. The soil should be ploughed so that the soil attains fine tilth and smooth texture; the land should be enriched so we should add well –decomposed farmyard manure to the soil.
The spacing of the permission should be 4 m x 4m x 6m x 6m. Before planting these persimmons proper layout should be done. The planting and spacing will also depend as per the variety. Under good conditions like sunny regions and soil fertility the tree starts bearing the fruits after 5 years of its planting. In spring season, the plants those are grafter should be transplanted to the main field.
